What size is my vehicle?
With all of the different style of cars, trucks, mini-vans, SUVs, and trucks on the road, many people do not know what their vehicle size / classification is. Below are basic descriptions of the vehicle size categories and examples of each.
Extra Small Vehicles- Typically the smallest type of cars on the road such as Mini Coopers, small SCIONS, and Prius.
Small Vehicles - Most 2-door and/or hatchback style cars are considered small vehicles. Examples of small vehicles are Civic, Mercedes C Class, Corolla, Audi A4, and Sentra.
Medium Vehicles - Many 4-door sedan style cars and small SUV's (sport utility vehicles) are classified as medium vehicles. Examples of medium vehicles are Mercedes E Class, Camry, Accord, BMW 5 Series, and Ford Escape.
Large Vehicles - Most SUV's (sports utility vehicles) and large-body sedans are classified as large vehicles, such as Explorer, Expedition, Escalade, F-150 Truck, BMW 7 Series, and Hummer H3.
Extra Large Vehicles - These are typically the larger vehicles out on the road (not including commercial vehicles) and include Suburban, Excursion, F-350 Truck, Hummer 2, and Escalade ESV.
